Sarah Meyohas

Working in photography, film, virtual and augmented reality, installation, and performance art, conceptual artist Sarah Meyohas explores the essence and power of emerging technology in a contemporary society. She became known for her conceptual work Bitchcoin, a physical art-funded cryptocurrency that challenges the value of both cryptocurrency and art. She was included in Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list in 2017. She earned degrees in Finance and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA from Yale University. Using hidden cameras and two-way mirrors to photograph flower petals displayed in an infinite loop, works such as Peach Petal Speculation (2017) allude to the deception of the art market in how an object’s worth is formed and maintained. Her work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and Artforum.
