This work invites the viewer into a mythical parallel world shaped by the Amlash figures—timeless characters inspired by ancient cultures and sacred archetypes associated with luck, blessing, fertility, and abundance. The composition unfolds as a dreamlike landscape where echoes of ancient architecture merge with contemporary expression.
Constellations, symbolic numbers, and encoded signs appear as a visual language, suggesting unseen forces and cosmic rhythms. functioning as a visual talisman, the work bridges ancient cultural memory with modern sensibility.
Pantea Mahrou is an Iranian contemporary artist whose practice explores fragmentation, memory, displacement, feminine experience and inherited political histories. Through layered material and spatial processes, her work examines visibility, erasure, silence and concealment, revealing how bodies, domestic spaces and emotional landscapes carry traces of trauma, migration, censorship and political transformation.
