This sculpture explores the coexistence of parallel worlds, connected through subtle points of energy and meaning. Across its surface appear codes, numbers, and symbolic signs rooted in ancient cultures – forms traditionally believed to attract luck, blessing, protection, and prosperity.
Inspired by characters drawn from ancient sacred deities, the work reveals lives unfolding across parallel realms, suggesting that symbols of fortune and abundance continue to remain in dialogue with contemporary humanity. Through this layered visual language, the sculpture reflects cultural continuity and the unseen connections between past belief systems and present experience.
Pantea Mahrou is an Iranian contemporary artist whose practice explores fragmentation, memory, displacement, feminine experience and inherited political histories. Through layered material and spatial processes, her work examines visibility, erasure, silence and concealment, revealing how bodies, domestic spaces and emotional landscapes carry traces of trauma, migration, censorship and political transformation.
