The Moon is Bound is an abstract vision from the pagan legend The Buried Moon. Pre christianity the moon was a protective goddess to those who walked the fens of Lincolnshire. In this story she became buried by the bogies of the bog after rescuing a trapped man, who later set her free again to take her place back in the night sky.
