Through layered symbols of peace, fortune, blessing, and positive energy—alongside ancient scripts such as cuneiform, Avestan, and early Jiroft inscriptions—the artwork creates a shared symbolic language beyond time and geography.

Pantea Mahrou is an Iranian contemporary artist whose practice explores fragmentation, memory, displacement, feminine experience and inherited political histories. Through layered material and spatial processes, her work examines visibility, erasure, silence and concealment, revealing how bodies, domestic spaces and emotional landscapes carry traces of trauma, migration, censorship and political transformation.
