Tears in the Rain is inspired by the poetic final monologue in cult film Blade Runner, where an enslaved, dying robot reminisces over memories of an extraordinary life lived, and the beauty of the cosmos.

Rafaela de Ascanio
Rafaela de Ascanio (b.1986, lives and works in London) studied at Central Saint Martins (2004), The Courtauld Institute of Art (MA, 2010) and Turps Banana Painting Programme (2019). She will present a solo exhibition at Liliya Art Gallery in May 2021.
