Biography

Chinezim Moghalu’s vibrant, expressionistic, and minimalist paintings delve into a diverse range of themes inspired by the complexities of the human condition. His work thoughtfully examines relationship dynamics, social class, religious inclinations, and the mind as a landscape of endless possibilities, often drawing from his immediate environment. With emotionally charged compositions, Moghalu casts his subjects in a powerful and evocative light, while also exploring themes of gender preferences and their connection to personal interests and the broader human experience.

A graduate of the University of Benin with a degree in art history, Moghalu currently lives and works in Lagos. His work has been showcased at the 2023 FNB Art Fair and Wunika Mukan Gallery (2023).
