Shirin Neshat and Fereydoun Ave's The Book of Kings Exhibition Launches In Total Arts Dubai

This March, Shirin Neshat and Fereydoun Ave jointly exhibit separate bodies of work similarly named The Book of Kings or Shahnameh after the work by the epic poem by the 10th-century Persian poet Ferdowsi. Rebecca Anne Proctor explores the artistic and intellectual dialogue between the two artists.

Islamic Art Now, Part 2 exhibition features approximately 29 works by artists from Iran, the Arab world, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, including JRFA artist Fereydoun Ave. The exhibition marks the first major installations of LACMA’s collection of contemporary art of the Middle East.
