In 2009 he created an open air public space installation with his 'community 366' project, with the support of the Dubai Culture and Art Authority. In 2013 he exhibited his 'abandoned' project during Art Dubai week, at Shelter in Al Serkal Avenue, Dubai, one of Dubai's premiere gallery locations.

He has contributed to various group shows in Dubai, at Empty Quarter Gallery, The Courtyard Gallery and Mojo Gallery. His photographs have toured with the London Association of Photographers Awards shows in 2011 and 2012 and appeared in the Art of Photography Show in San Diego in 2012.

Richard participated in two Museum exhibitions in 2014.  The first at Oceanside Museum of Art, California, Contemporary Landscape Photography Show and the second at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Copenhagen. Arab Contemporary. Architecture, Culture, and Identity.
